They're great radios. I have an older version that I bought for my semi truck and it has taken a lot of abuse yet it's still going. If only they would make it water-proof and set up for 28 volts. :D

I still have mine that I used with I was an OTR trucker.

It has been peaked and tuned, has the low and high channels, talkback and some other mods. I also have a Texas Star 150 amp kicker that helped me get out over the clutter.
I haven't used a CB in 5-6 years.

Hi all,
Speaking of CB's and the cobra 29 ltd.. I have one.

But there is a loose connection in it somewhere, where it cannot transmit or receive.
(I cannot remember which...)
Is there anyone on here in Georgia, capable of fixing it? If so, how much would it cost me?

I would like to get this radio working and put it in my M1009...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

CJ

P.s. Please PM or email me directly if you can help, thank you..

There used to be a CB shop close to most major truck stops......I have not seen one open in my neck of the woods in years.

There is a guy here that works on CB's but he does not advertise and only does it for locals.

I've got a 29 in the tractor/trailer I drive from time to time. I very seldom turn it on anymore though. Our company has 2-way on our cell phones and I get tired of listening to all the BS on the CB.

At one time I had a Cobra 148 running a base station with a Amtron 99 antena mounted 60' in the air and a 600 watt kicker. That thing would reach out there.
