At war with my neighbors...

They think my M1009 looks dumpy, compared to their vehicles. I have a 2009 truck and a 2008 solstice....so if I wanted to I could be driving those instead of my blazer. I LOVE MY K5!!!! I have been working on making it run better than it has by fixing the little issues and eventually I will paint it but there is some body work needing to be done...which I have since started working on. So in the meantime, as a gesture to all my geriatric a$$h@l3 neighbors in my condo complex I want to make my diesel exhaust so loud it becomes offensive! Any suggestions on how to make this happen?

Do like I did. Buy a deuce.....tell HOA to "eat a bag of *****"......troll HOA for 3 months..... put deuce in garage..... HOA is thankful to look at the M1009 and not the deuce.


Seriously, paint it pink, purple and orange. When they complain tell them you're gay, you're simply expressing your "pride" and they are violating your civil rights by even discussing it with you. Wait a few days, then offer to paint it brown as a gesture of goodwill.

Turn up the fuel injector pump, install larger injectors, larger turbo, run 1/2-inch fuel supply & return lines all the way between the IP & tank, and install 5-inch or 6-inch exhaust with NO MUFFLER. It will be LOUD! Of course you'll probably need to upgrade your tranny & torque converter after cranking up your engine....just sayin'...

You have to learn to pick your battles. My deuce is uncovered in the "RV parking" in front of my house, but everything else I own is either garaged or tarped on the driveway. I get along with all of my immediate neighbors. I am a homeowner and they are renters, if that makes any difference, but I also make an effort to be a good neighbor (no Deuce revving at 1:00 AM).

Try being nice to your neighbors. Offer to help work on their cars if you have the ability. When winter comes, be the guy that can get cars unstuck or running. Pretty soon, you will be their favorite MV owner.

Agreed... Making trouble just for spite is not the way to go in my opinion. Be the bigger person and just keep on keeping on. HOA's can be a huge PITA but there is no need to go looking for trouble.

I live in a HOA controlled neighborhood it has good points and some bad points but our's has pretty common sense laws like cut your lawn over 12" dont scream and swear at the golfer's etc. But i park my work van and m1009 in driveway never had a problem but i have not started a pissing match with any one! Once you have the HOA after you your going to have a rough time unless you move!!!

I parked my ugly truck that kept getting cited right in front of our HOA office.and after a week they shut up.Neve rhad to speak one word to anyone. We are all liked now.. but neighbors are important. and can be a helpinghand as well. Just tell them it is your truck and ask them if they would like to go for a ride or such? Good luck
