Decent but I would caution everyone not to assume it is the "10th vehicle".
There is a coding system which as been covered in various threads before here on Steel Soldiers. 6 is reserved for the commander/leader. So HQ6 is the commander. A16 would be the A Company, 1st platoon, platoon leader.
HQ1 is the personnelofficer
HQ2 is the intell officer
HQ3 is the ops officer
HQ4 is logistics
HQ5 is the XO
HQ6 CDR
HQ7 is the Command Sergeant Major
HQ11 would be an additional truck for the personnel section.
HQ21 for intell
HQ31 for ops and so on.
HQ36 would not be the leader for the operations section. Nope, doesn't work that way for staff officers.
or you may have letters of a company and you also need to understand the overall unit which much of this info is on google.
So if a Infantry or Armor unit, they'd have a HQ (for the actual headquarters sections), a Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), A Company, B Company, C Company and potentially others depending on the type of unit and what time period. Today it is usually A through C (potentially as high as F but haven't seen any lately above F Company). In WWII though Companies in different battalions kept sequential lettering. Meaning you routinely would have a E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M Companies in a Regiment. Not so anymore.
I aready showed A-16 as the platoon leader. So A-11 would not be the personnel officer (platoons don't have those). A-11 would be A Company 1st platoon, 1st squad. A-12 second squad, A-13 third and so on.
On other thing I brought up about bumper numbersin the past. The guy that puts them on is usually some malcontent that was assigned it as 'corrective training' for screwing something up. So about 10 years ago I walked into a motorpool and within the same HQ saw bumper numbers done 3 different ways none of which were correct. So always keep that in mind.
