I've got a running, drivable M925A2 at Barstow, CA GL site that I need picked up and stored for anywhere between one and six weeks. I don't expect anything for free and am willing to pay a reasonable fee for this service. Please email me (joe@armytruckparts.com) if you can help. Thanks much, Joe

You might want to remove his Cell number from a public forum. Just saying.

M925A2 Recovery at Barstow for SS GIJoeCzar

Matt (Castle Bravo) and I headed out Wednesday morning with my pickup loaded down with fluids, tools, batteries, slave cable, air hose, jack, etc, etc We left the house at 0400.
Got to the front gate at Barstow about 0930. I had not been they in over a year and the security sign in had changed, had to get a pass, that took 30 min or so.
Got to the GL office right at 1000 and signed in and headed off to find the truck.
Found the truck and started in checking fluids, tires and so on.
FYI you can not add any fluids on the Base.

The truck did not have much fuel in it, but enough to get off the base.
Went to start the truck, did not do anything, got the slave cable out and hooked it up and it started right up. Yea!!
Aired up one tire that was low and check the others. Checked the lights and brakes, Matt put her in gear and we headed for the gate. Forgot we did preview so MK48's.

Got to Barstow and had lunch and added some fuel. I got behind the wheel and headed for home.

I drove to Indio, CA and got more fuel and a cold drink, it was only 103.
It was Matt's turn to drove again so we started out and he drove almost to Tonopah, AZ and then I took over. Made it to Tonopah around 1930.

The truck drove ok and looks good. Just needs a little TLC.

Glad it went good. That's a warm drive when it's over 100! I got up to 105 between Barstow and Vegas. I sure like the comfort of the 939 series trucks- minus the heat...
markmontana, Glad your trip went well also!!!!:driver:

The trip went well. I actually passed stuff and kept up with loaded semi trucks uphill! I like the 8.3 Cummins. :jumpin:
