This recovery was made possible by Will W. and Jon T. Two of S. Cal finest!! Thank you guys your help was awesome! It started with out a hitch and ended with a rainy day picnic with my youngest daughter in the red rocks. 400 miles alot of fuel, a bit more luck and the help of a few new friends. Doesn't get any better than this.

I was fueling up with aux. tank, hard to tell for sure. Guessing 6 to 8. Its all up hill and lots of cross winds due to many storms.

I made that trip and a little further a couple of years ago. I bought a deuce from a guy in Hesperia and drove it back to NM in August, 108 degrees outside, about 200 degree inside the cab.
