OK, need some suggestions, new batteries in the deuce, been fine and started the truck last weekend, spun over fine. Went out to the farm today and they were dead, and the master switch was off.

Did you turn off the three lever light switch? You may have left your gauge lights on. or...

There's a couple of acceptable ways to do this, however short of removing all the batteries completely removing the dogbone is the easiest to convey, hardest to get wrong, and do dangling "live" wires anywhere.

:ditto: Agreed, or you could use a slave cable to jump it. One more good reason to own two trucks.

Funny you should say that, have extra trucks and slave cables, but will try to find out what is wrong first.

If you have not had battery drain trouble before, I would bet you left the gauge lights on.

If you still can't figure it out, you might consider installing a master cut-off switch, that disconnects the negative cable of the battery. That will fix the problem.

That will keep the batteries from draining, but it might not "fix the glitch." In my case, a cut off switch would have kept my batteries up, but my alternator was an AC generator because my diodes had blown. The -34 manual has a specific troubleshooting scenario "Batteries lose charge during periods of non-operation." That's your best bet.
