I would like to see your set up. I have a cb in my lmtv with a military antenna cut to freq. I am planning on installing an intercom system next.

Regards,[

JoeQUOTE=Oxyacetylene;1993154]Any more word on communications for the convoy? I have my aircraft intercom system working with my ham radio, just need to tweak the audio. I cleaned up my old CB radio too and will try to adapt that to the intercom next if we might be using CB.

Also, so that we can pay ahead of time to hold our place, were you thinking PayPal?[/QUOTE]

Sure thing. Hopefully I will have it all hooked up and working soon. I'm using a Sigtronics SPO-62, which is a 6 position system, but it comes in 2 and 4 position models also. It's portable so you can just take it out of the vehicle and use it in another one pretty easily.

I remember old school. There were movies about "CB Truckin", and my buddies all had their traveling handles and CB units in their cars:

- Is CB as a frequency band as busy as it was back in the 70's, do you know?

I don't think it's as busy, but still very active. Still lots of shenanigans with high power amps, power mics, echo mics, cursing, etc.

As of right now, I'm backing out. I will probably come to Denton on Sat, Might crash and leave Sunday, but I have a lot of competing events right now. This will not affect anyone I have stuff for...

Well, that sucks. Another week or so I need to give a count. We will have a few extra tickets I will account for, then that will be it. I can't over commit and "hope" that folks show up.

So who's bringing a radio (CB, ham, GMRS)? I have the aircraft intercom working with my ham radio and I *think* I may have it working with a CB radio but my CB is dead. I'm trying to locate one to borrow if we will use them.

OK, I counted about 26. I know there will be a few extras that will join us at the last minute, so I ordered some extra, but not a ton extra. If you are interested in dinner with us please chime in. I only have until tomorrow eve to finalize the numbers. I'd hate to see someone miss out, but of course all are welcome for the convoy regardless of wanting dinner. I will have the tickets at the park on Friday. No pre-pays please.

The weather is shaping up to be absolutely PERFECT for Friday so this will be a great day for the drive.

I just spoke to the Sheriff's dept, who will be providing a motorcycle escort (at least two, trying to get a third deputy to agree to work) which should make the whole trip much more enjoyable.

I also heard from Al Harvey that he will not be able to participate, so Kris (driver 200150) will be gathering up the drivers and getting everyone lined up and ready to go.

Can't Wait !!!!!!

Again, LET ME KNOW if you plan to participate.
