Bellhousing question

Does the inspection plate on the bellhousing use a gasket? I need to spray brake cleaner on my friction plate after a main oil seal leak. Don't want to risk it if a gasket, though, cause I have to leave in the a.m.

There is one, but if you won't be fording any time soon, I wouldn't worry about it.

yes and they ussually come of with the cover .you could make a new one pretty easy with some rolled gasket material or just use some silicon and wipe the extra off before it sets up so it wont look like you boggered it up
