So, found some rust through on the side of the cab where the passenger window's been leaking. While I'd love to remove the battery box and weld in a new plate, the weather isn't quite conducive to that till the spring.

So I needled thr scale off and can wire brush / sand for now, but am I better off to bondo the holes closed or just rusty primer things for now?

Main goal is things not getting worse till I have time / weather for a better fix.

For short term, I'd just wire brush it down and put some Rust Fix on it and prime it til you can fix it right. No point in spending time trying to bondo, just to have to take it all off again in 6 months.

I'd spray it liberally with a rust converter like Ospho and deal with it in the spring.
