A costly lesson learned. Last week I started a project to add quick dis-connects to my Radio, and cleanup some wiring additions.
I had dis-connected a wire from fuse panel. It forgot it was a wire that always hot. I need to label my wires.
The hot wire touched something. I heard that pop I knew I screwed up.
I was hoping to get away with few blown fuses. I had blown the 15 amp horn fuse.
The engine control fuse was fine.
Try to start it up no wait light. Then I notice the GP solenoid wasn't charging up.
Started going through the GP troubleshooting section in the -20 manual. It was leading to bad GP controller. I never finished the whole troubleshooting as I had a spare GP controller card. Plugged the new card in and it started asap.
I blew old card or it was going anyway?
$70 lesson learned. Extra wires are labeled and I know which ones are hot or not.
