Block O-ring

Please forgive my lack of knowledge. On the subject of head gasket issues would there be any advantage to making a O-ring groove block to help with head gasket issues? Also is it possible to run a oring and fire ring gasket?

I can't remember ever seeing this discussed. Even though I no longer a Deuce my Brother still has the 818 I sold him that needs a head gasket.
