You can pop off the brass caps of any of the screw-in covers for a really obnoxious glare if you need to, and on most tacticals it is not a big deal as the dash in not in your direct line of sight. They are useful for indicators for back-up lights, beacons, eTc. The military regularly uses "capless" lenses in armor for low oil and high temp warnings.
There are some in yellow as well, but they are rather rare.
I must have sold 200 of those night-vision-friendly blue hi-beam dash lights over the last two years. Most on E-Bay, some direct to wholesalers. I have a few left if anyone needs one or two, cheap.
BTW, if your dash lights are just too dim, here is an easy fix: Replace the 313 or 1819 lamps with a set of 353 lamps. They will put the filament behind the panel, rather than in front. This puts a lot more light where it is needed. A good cleaning of the lens is a good idea, as they always seem to have a lot of paint & dirt on them. The little windows in the gages will probably be dirty, too.
