Does anyone know the difference between the two types of connectors
that are used on most of the older electronic Gear. Typically found
on the RTTY riGs and the VIC-1 stuff.
For example take a look at a CX-10526/G and a CX-10527/G
They are both 4 socket connectors ABCD but one has a blue
plastic core and the other has a Green plastic core.
The contacts on the blue core are recessed about a 1/16" but the
Green ones are flush with the top surface.
The blue ones seem to be used with heavier cable but that may
only be the samples I have.
Are there any major electrical characteristic differences or are they
interchanGeable ?
Thanks for any insiGht into this!
