blueish black smoke only from right side exhaust

ok I am getting blueish black smoke from the right side of my truck only at start more so when cold. Could that be a bad head gasket or just valve seals warn from milage??

Sounds like lube oil getting in the exhaust. Try valve seals.

Blackish could be overfueling from a sticky injector. Are you running fresh diesel if so add some injector clean. If it persists then I would think valve seals.
