The drivers side alt controls the front battery correct. Having a one of those days cant do anything correct.
Front battery is not charging, why wouldnt the gen1 light come on if it is not charging. It does come on when I turn the key to start. It goes off when I tap the gas pedal.

Yes, the drivers alternator charges the front battery. Have you actually put a volt meter on the front battery and confirmed it is not showing 14.4 volts with the engine running? A bad battery, loose connections, corroded terminals could all cause a low battery with everything else working like it should.

If i'm not mistaken, if the dash bulb is fried, the alt will not charge. Do a search, there is lots of info on this subject.

Battery is new and charged everything is tight. Put in a new alt still not getting 14.4 at battery. The alt that I took out tested good.
