OK, I was taking a spin Sat. night in the deuce, well a bit more than a spin. Just got dark, and I head up a hill just a bit too steep<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_shock.gif" alt="Shock"> So all the tires are spinning about fifty feet from the top, she starts digging in so I hit the brakes...<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_shrug.gif" alt="Shrug">...NO BRAKES<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_shock.gif" alt="Shock"> Rolling backwards pumping like... well pumping like its my last time<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_wink.gif" alt="Wink"> After a long and bumpy ride backwards in the dark I stopped<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_thumzup.gif" alt="Thumb Up"> So I did a little more cruise'n on the trails, but still had to pump the brakes<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_sad.gif" alt="Sad">
Well I checked the problem in the morning...

Well the problem is clear, but the question is... Anyone bought rebuild kits or cylinders from a local NAPA or the like? Heading out'a town on Wed. nite to fish 2 tournaments in Hawaii over the 4th (yea I know you all feel sorry for me). I had promised some local guys the deuce for the 4th parade here in town, so just asking for a little quick help. One more question... Brake shoes are like new, but you guessed it... Soaked...

Any thoughts?

For now, brakekleen the snot out of the shoes. They may clean up fine and they might not. They haven't been saturated for that long so you have a decent chance. I know kits that fit the wheel cylinders are available at NAPA. I think they are 1 13/16 but memory is short. Take your cylinder and they should be able to find a kit. Hone it out, lube it up and put it all back together, I've done many without any problems. Is your fluid still silicone? Make sure you put in like fluid!
