brake fluid

Cant remember what DOT fluid to use. It has been 5 years since I last toped off the master cylinder.

The Deuce tips & Tricks indicates DOT 5 is the milspec brake fluid. I think DOT 3 is the cililian brake fluid that is often used. (Somebody correct me if I've screwed up!)

Dont mix them.. either cuntinue to use DOT5 or flush the whole system and then put DOT 3 in

If you aren't sure which one is in your truck, put a add a couple of drops from the master cylinder to a cap fo known fluid. Like fluids will mix, dissimular fluids will "bead". ~ Pappa-G

I opened up my BII box below the drivers seat and there was the can of DOT3 I used years ago
