what comes in the cucv dot 3 or dot 5 ?

Either, just do not mix. I had to redo my brakes due to the PO mixing. Mine is Dot 5 Silicone. Costs more but has a higher boiling point and does not absorb water. You will have to determine which is in yours. Smell and consistancy are a good indicator as each is distinct.

If it looks yellow, it is dot 5.

Either? Not from the military...

The lid on the master cylinder says DOT 5 only.

There should be a sticker under the hood or in the vehicle too.

Ditto! I was told that they use DOT 5 and DOT 5 only.

The Dot 5 color could also be purple.
