OK fellows. I'm posting this for a friend of a friend that recently won an M109 in Richmond Va. Apparently the truck starts and runs, but the master cylinder is empty, and, no brakes. This is his first MV and his EUC has cleared. I've sent the info on what tech manual to read and where to get it.

So, since he has limited time to get the 109 off the GL lot, and limited time before he'll be out of the country soon, any suggestions on what to try in what order? The "search for this or that" won't help this guy much, since he's just getting involved in these toys, and doesn't have much experience with SS yet, and I'm just the info middle man.

So fellows, what are you suggestions. I wish his 109 was closer. I'd tow it home a short distance with the 818, or another friend's 816.

Fill the master cyl and bleed the brakes. Thats all you can do to find out if anything is bad. From there you'll have to swap out said bad part for a new one. The easiest way to do it is to build a speed bleeder. I was shown a garden sprayer that threaded into the (master cyl) cap's vent line. Then you pump up pressure in the garden sprayer, and start at the passenger side rear axle. Work your way from farthest to closest, and your allset.
