While scrounging through a local bone yard I came across a brand new 1 1/2 ton military trailer.

It was purchased from the manufacturer by a private party and never went to the government. 8)

The owner never used it and it was purchased by the salvage yard at an auction.

It is approx. 8 years old and has never been on the highway.

It does have some surface rust due to sitting outdoors for several years.

I can get it for $500.00. I didn't have my digital camera so no pics. Sorry :(

I'm thinking that is a good price and that I could make a buck on it if I decide I don't need it.

What say ye fellow members of the brotherhood of Steel Soldiers? :?:

It was sitting in a briar patch and the skeeters were using me a primary food source so I didn't get a good close look.
It has some type of cover but it didn't look like standard tarp and bows.
It may have had something in it but I was in a hurry and couldn't probe too much.
I'm going back with a machete and my digital camera.
I did see that the tires were brand new and the original paint is still looking good.
If $500.00 is a good price I will probably jump on it and keep it for when I get my truck. Thanks for the replies so far.

I just sold my 68 M105A2 trailer on Ebay. My reserve was $400 and within the last 30 seconds of the auction, I had some snipers battle over it and it went for $1100! I couldnt believe it. Sounds like $500 is a fair deal if its the A2 style.

I bought one here in Ga. at an auction for $100 and tax. A-1, complete with landing gear. Body was a little rough, but serviceable. Lloyd (poppop) actually did my bidding, I was helping my Bro in law on his house.

So I guess the consensus it that five hundred bucks for a trailer that has never been used is not a bad deal. :)
I have a military mission that will take me to within twenty miles of the yard so I may go over and take some pics. I will try to have them posted by Sat.
Thanks for the input. 8)
