Thanks for the data and answer to my abrupt message but it was late and was a long day.
The truck was hotshotted from San Antonio about 70 miles to some acreage that I have. I went on gut and GL photos to make the purchase, as I have several times in the past, but was a little concerned about the "does not run" written on the truck when it arrived. The Operators manual was still with the truck and there was documentation that seemed to indicate it went out of service in '05.
Checked the oil, full up, and found the fuel tank full with diesel. I pulled the dead 6tl's and put in a couple fresh batteries that I had on hand and went to do the hydro lock test before starting. Apparently I didn't have the fuel shut off pulled completely out because as soon as I hit the starter button she fired and runs smooth. Air pressure came up good and I took it for a short spin around the pasture before heading back to Houston.
Next trip back will do a thorough check. I do know that the tach is inop so it may have a busted inner cable. All in all I'm a happy camper. The truck came from the 335th Replacement Battation.
