Just wondering if anyone could give some insight on buying from auctions? What is the process and what kind of luck you have had dealing with the auction places? Also, what are some ideas of price for a m35 at the auctions?

thanks

In before rude comments:

Buying from liquidation auctions is as much work as you would think it would be, with as much red tape as you should expect from a corporation working for the US government. I mean that is it in a nutshell: You have to fill out every form absolutely correct and expect them to change the rules with little warning. Also it is a long process taking up to a couple of months.

You win the auction, you fill out the forms, they send the forms back for corrections, you send the forms back, they send them to the government, the government drags it's ass to process them, then you go and pick up the truck you bought and find you half the cool stuff in the pictures has been stolen and the 'runs when parked' truck has a hole in the side of the engine. Thats the worst case scenario anyways.

Trucks are all over the place in pricing. It really just depends on if anyone has previewed it. If someone or a group of people KNOWS a truck is good, then it could go upwards of 2000-4000$, but most trucks I think fall into the 700-1500$ range and accessories vary, unless it's an M35A3 which are apparently made of Myrrh.

Welcome to the site, there is a lot of information here, a little searching and hunting can find you a lot of information, make sure to look up "recovery" threads before you start bidding, a lot of really good stuff to be learned there.

Snarky just about sums it up except for one small detail, you have to pay for your purchase immediately and they may sit on your money reaping the benefits of a float (interest) at your expense for as much as 90 days if not more. So be prepared to be without your money and your purchase.
