Hello everyone,
A friend saw my m1028 and now wants one. He's found an '86 Cucv pickup on craigslist for $3500 and we're gonna go look at it. I know some basic questions to ask and things to look for, but really want help.

So
-what questions should we ask?
-what should we look for that indicates prior treatment an future expensive repairs?

Thanks!

CUCV's are notorious for electrical grimlins....look for any modifacations to the wiring and if found ask the seller for an explaination....if none is forthcoming ("I bought it like this. they are all modified like this") run....don't walk away.

Go through the CUCV threads here and you should get some insight on the care and feeding of the beast.
