Camp Plymouth FALL Swap Meet & MV Gathering Sept. 16-22, 2019 in North-Central Calif.

GREAT NEWS! The annual Fall swap meet and MV gathering in North-Central California returns! It will be September 17-22, 2019 in Plymouth, California! Location is the same as the April meet - 49er RV Village for RV sites and cabins, and the Amador County Fairgrounds next door for tent camping, visitor parking, and displays that don't fit in campsites. Open gate and path in-between sides. The Military Vehicle Collectors of California is the organizer of this and the larger Spring swap meet (which by the way is April 14-19, 2020).

Prepare to buy, sell, swap, tire-kick, drive, lie, tour, party, wine taste, bond, hang out, and even relax in the scenic and historic California Gold Country and Shenandoah Valley Wine Country!

MV excursions, ladies' shopping and lunch trip, dinners, meetings, Normandy 75th and European jeep tour presentation, MVCC merchandise booth.

Our group block in the RV Village is 55 RV campsites and 17 cabins (5 Studio, 7 1-Bedtoom, and 5 2-Bedroom). These are mostly together on the north side of the 49er RV Resort on the inner loop. Smaller block because the Fall meet is always smaller than the April meet. As before, the 49er sites are for RVs, travel trailers including pop-ups, and even pickups with commercial camper shells. No tent camping there. The adjacent fairgrounds area is the location for the Tent Sector, with some sites having shared water and the rest dry. The sites are larger this time.

NO visitor or parking fee. NO MV registration or fee, bring 'em all, any condition. NO vendor fee but sellers must rent a campsite or cabin.

Four night minimum at the 49er, no minimum at the fairgrounds. Group discount available for several days before and after if sites are available. Sites not in our 49er block can be rented at the same rate. Rates (with group discount, including tax) at the 49er for the Fall meet are $53.35 / night for RV sites, $146.52 / night for a studio cottage, $216.81 / night for a 1 or 2 bedroom cottage. Rates for the fairgrounds are $35 / night with shared water, or $25 / night for dry sites. The fairgrounds is not intended for RVs and travel trailers.

Reservation procedures for the 49er are different than for the April meet. There is a reservation form to send in, now posted on www.MVCCNews.net with layout maps, Daily Briefing (tentative day-by-day activities). Jo-Ann Lesser will again be our Wagonmistress organizing ALL reservations. Do not contact the RV park. Go through her at mvcccampmistress@yahoo.com. Rent payments for 49er and fairgrounds are to be sent to the MVCC through her. Please do not occupy the 49er office staff when you can get your answers from MVCC staff.

Here is the updated flyer, like the ad coming out in Military Vehicles Magazine in August. Pass the word about this meet and the new venue by sending a link to this thread or downloading the flyer for emails. If you want a PDF version, send me a note.

Military Vehicles Magazine just came out and our full page color ad is in there. It is what we also call our event flyer. There is also a calendar listing, and they printed a piece in News and Views section about the Fall meet changing venues, and a bit about the Spring meet moves in recent years. Unfortunately I let a big typo slip in that one. Wrong dates for the Fall meet!

Go by the ad, various calendars, original post here, MVCCNews.net, and the newsletter: September 17-22, 2019! Tuesday is set up day, Sunday is pull out day, not a show day.

The flyer is available via email if you want to print and hand out or post where MV types are likely to be (nearly anywhere!) Just send me an email.

REMINDER - RV site and cabin reservations at 49er RV Village have to be a four night minimum. All of our participants get our group discount. See the original post here plus layout maps on www.MVCCNews.net for information about where our RV Village block of sites and cabins is and the options.

Daily Briefing - 9-12 - Black-Green PUB.jpg

Updated Daily Briefing courtesy Activities Coordinator Nancy Porter. Click to expand.

Note the MV run to CalFire training center. Time to get your MV insurance and registration updated. This is a great place for MV driving!

Also on Friday evening there will be a video and photo presentation by Ernie Ongaro and Matt Parry about their six jeep Normandy and Europe excursion.

After Action Report: Camp Plymouth

Thanks to everyone who made it to the first fall meet at Camp Plymouth.
The weather was great, a little early rain just kept the dust down at the fairgrounds.
Most vendors reported strong sales, with a good cross section of OD things looking for a new home. I
bought a few things and added 11 miles to odometer of Ginger Jeep without leave
Plymouth. The MVCC booth sold a lot of shirts to people who didn't buy
one in April. MVs present were a wide span, jeeps to M900 5 ton,
with a surprising number of M38 this year. Convoys were smaller
than April, so we may have them only for the spring meet unless a near by
special event is happening at the same time as the fall meet.

The General Membership meeting was well attended Saturday. I had plenty of members talk to me about the club,
future plans and etc. All input is greatly appreciated.

Let's Keep 'Em Rolling.
