Can anyone identify this Alvis APC(?)

Greetings,

Can anyone identify this? It has the red triangle so I'd guess is it's British, the hatches suggest it's amphibious... Is that armor, er armour? Thanks. BT

Not sure what model 'Alvis' this is, but the orange triangle and red on white number plates are the equivalent of Dealer tags. The blue circle in the bottom of the windscreen - passenger side is proof of payment of road tax. Fire extinguisher and aerial mounts suggest '80's or '90's maybe. Indicators though look European(?)
I'm guessing this was a prototype of some description but will stand corrected as I've never seen the likes of this.. Ferret replacement???

Hi old post but I have just bought this! Its an Alvis Acorn prototype to the Scarab Unimog running gear Built in South Africa and trailed all over Its a 1994 one and very quirky! Let me know if you need another info.

I dont know the model but look at the woman in the van behind the truck, she looks like she has been sitting there for 30 minutes waiting for this idiot to move out of HER way! CLASSIC!!!!!
