Can I run Michelin XL's tubeless?

I think someone told me that the XL's were a tube-type tire. Does this mean that I HAVE to run them with tubes when used on a tubeless type wheel? I see that the military is using them on beadlock style combat wheels, yet the wheels are stamped with a warning not to run tubes in them..... What's the deal?

According to Michelin XML and XZL are all in the same class as on / off road tires reguardless of size and are considered tubeless... Unless there is some older variation to what is current, but if the tire says tubeless... Its tubeless.

I thought so, but I saw a military TM that mentioned that the XL required a tube..... I wish I could remember which TM it was. I could be wrong. It certainly makes sense that it would be okay to run tubeless.... Either it holds air or it doesn't.
