Can you pull this trailer with a HMMWV?

Well the trailer is an M105A2, the weight is around 2650 lbs with a highway capacity of 5500 lbs. and has air brakes. I am not familair with the HMMWV trailer tow capacity or weight which is dependant on the model of HMMWV.

But I do think that the HMMWV does not have an air connection for the trailer so it may not be safe given the load that you put in the trailer. A M105 has a 1.5 ton capacity so dependant on the weight of the HMMWV it may be to light to safely tow the trailer and stop.

Ya I've pulled them with my truck but you really want a 101 or 1101. the hitch is too high you will have to hook it up by hand and it's very heavy to do so. I'd not recommend it.

Thanks guys. I have to haul this from the pick up location and it would be empty and all highway driving. We're picking up a HMMWV also and I thought I might be able to pull it back with that.

You can pull it empty and the height would not be to bad with the 37's on your truck. You would have lights with the MV light connection so for a quick haul back it would not be a problem. Long term a M1101 is the trailer for the HMMVW.

I think a HMMVW is over 10k in weight so if your brakes are good in the HMMVW it is safe.

Be careful when you pull the release handle on the stabilizer wheel up front. The first time I was working with my M105 I was lowering on a hitch that was lower than I could put the front down. When I released the handle on the front wheels the trailer fell to the ground, missed my foot by 1" and missed the hitch. Wake UP CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
