Got my dream truck from Govdeals this morning. Problem is it is in Brandon Or. so it looks like air flight out there and drive back. She is a 1992 M915A2. Happy Days.

You have been wanting the truck ever since you sold the one you had, great find! The recovery will be a good week vacation, @ least its cooler in Oregon to start the trip!

She went through a Red River work order in 09 so I hope they did her right and tight. Funny thing it was three times cheaper than I thought is was going to sell for.

Yep just me. Fly out this coming Tuesday and be back when I get back. Heck it's only 3600 miles.

u might try to find something that weighs a couple ton, to put on the back to smooth the ride out. bobtailing in that will be a backbreaker. good luck.

Beastmaster has a point. I have a crazy thought for you, Floridianson. Can you turn your 3600 mile journey into a Steel Soldiers Express run? There might be some members in our area that might need something transported across the country.

A2, that's got the direct 5th gear 754 transmission right? Gonna be a long ride at the double nickel.

Yea I need to do a gear change it both rears for sure. Then I can run my new 11R24.5 tires at highway speeds for extended times. It's says 4:56 to 1 and that's not going to be fun. If I could find a shop in Or. I would have them change out the gears before I left there. What would be a better ratio if I ran my 24.5's ?

No not yet. Now I need a SS member in Oregon that has seven 395 tires or 1400's with 6 combat wheels and I might be able to get home this year.

New plan NDT said just tire change so I will get a new set of tubeless wheels and 24.5 tires out there and just sweat it out

Some one in Portland/Salem area refurbish and sells military trucks. You could likely get 395s and wheels
