You can just install the bows and put a cover on..........it's just fine.......the bows go through the post of the troop seats......they are hollow, so the bows go to the bed already.[thumbzup]

Thank you!
Ididn't know if they needed to be supported or beefed up due to small diameter rod.
Going to pick up bows and corners and staves tomorrow!.Wallet says you can only get that this month!:driver:

Depending on the amount of side wind you get......you might get a bit of "flex" out of the uprights, as they are 1x3's but as long as the wood is good it should be fine, If you wanted to beef them up you could go to a lumber store and buy more 1x3's and after installing the bows screw some on the inside of them so as to make them twice as thick(just remember to use short screws so you aren't poking out and messing up the tarp.

If you don't get what I am saying I'll take a pic of what I mean tomorrow when the light is out.

The uprights may also be loose in the pockets in the bed. They go into the troop seats, which go into the bed. You may need to shim them so they don't move around.

Just be sure to use Oak. anything else will snap at the bed.I tried to do it on the cheap and I wound up havig to buy wood twice. The oak held up better until I got metal troop seat frames. I cut them apart and with metal, everything is fine.
