ok Going to change the filter in my m1009. Im still a newbie and looked through the search and notthing could answer my question what is the best way to prime the filter?

1 So first I take out filter
2 replace with new one
3 open left valve
4 once fuel comes out close
5 crank again till it starts

is that the best way to do this?

Well, before you remove the old filter get a catch pan, place it below the fuel filter drain hose. Open the drain, then open the vent. This keeps you from spilling fuel on the ground.

Before cranking the engine unplug the pink wire from the injector pump. Once you close the vent you can plug that wire back in.
