I have download all the TM's I think I will need to work on my deuce. But, are we going to suspend the "refer to the TM's" comments until the resources section gets back on line?

In 2003, when I got serious about buying a deuce, I spent waay over $300 with Portrayal Press for all the deuce manuals. SS wasn't around and I don't know if LOGSA was around (if it was I didn't know about it).

Before putting a 40 year old 14K lb. truck into motion, I don't think it's too much to ask for a fella to spend $10 on a CD full of manuals on ebay.

Nah, just jump in and go. Do I really need to know where the master cyl is located? When your numbers up, its time to go, why interfere the the "man upstairs" plan?

Whats a TM?

I would crack a joke about not knowing what a TM is, however its early and I know someone would take me seriously.

I received a full set of TMs when I bought my vehicle from GoldenEagle . I already had downloaded a full set of PDFs 2 years ago when I started looking at M109s. When the wife mentioned the M820 I downloaded those as well.

If a block headed infantryman like me can manage to do my research and reading ahead of purchase I think everyone else should as well.

Having said that if anyone needs TMs for the m809 series I can email them in PDF format.

:p Now then what is a master cylinder? :p " This line IS actually a JOKE "

No way, we're gonna say, spend some money(we offered them here free to download to your own computer) and RTFM.

Seriously, it has been said hundreds of times to "right-click and save them" to your own computer. That was the fastest and best way to have them available. Shame on you, if you didn't.

Until a new TM section becomes available on this site, you'll need to find them elsewhere.

Military equipment is so well documented in TMs, it's stupid to not utilize them.

I know YOU ment it as a joke, But it comes up all to often. What/where is the master cylinder. Or what is this door in the floor of the truck, can I just cover it up, I've had the truck for ____ and never looked under it.:deadhorse::deadhorse:

As for the TM's all you need are on LOGSA it the gov and they are free, too down load. As for dail up, I'm on dail up and I still down load TM's. I may set it to down load a few and go watch TV, but it still works. Or go to your local library. If they don't have them they can get them. All TM's are/were printed by the gov printing office and they send copys to ALL the state librarys. You should not have to pay to see them, YOU all ready paid to print them to start with!!

So what were we talking about?

I agree it is a funny post, but wait till you are standing at an intersection with a deuce against a pole and a smuched SUV there and the driver is screaming but it had air pressure.............
It was not a happy day and a prime example of someone getting one of the 13,000# animals that should not have been driving a lawn mower. Fortunately no one was seriously injured and the new deuce drive learned a hard lesson in YES they have MASTER Cylinder.

I actually like the LOGSA site better than the TM section here. LOGSA is searchable so you don't have to just wade through them until you find what you're looking for like you do here.

Given that the TM section is offline, I would be more then willing to host a collection of them on my webserver. I've got a couple hundred free GBs of space, and it is on a dual 100mbit connection.

Anyone have an archive of TMs I can get access to, and I'll be more then happy to index and publish them for anyone to download while the 'old' site is down.
