Hey guys,
I just wanted to say thanks to all the members who showed up this year! I had a great time even with a few carb problems. Haspin was a cool place with tons of muddy trails with difficulty levels ranging from mild hard packed dirt to insanely deep holes of mud and slop. There were some serious crazies there outside of our group too. Some felt inclined to ride their trucks or 4-wheelers at odd hours of the night while others set off dynamite. It was a wild couple of days and money well spent in my book. I am hoping that all these great pics from members and one member's G/F will spark more interest in the Second Annual SS Rally in 2006.
I was very please with the way my Mog performed aside from the carb. It was the first time I have ever driven it off road and it did really well. Next year I will have all the bugs worked out of the carb and will probably have some nastier tires on it too. Only one hole was too much for it. Even if I had my snorkle on there it probably would have fubar'd something bad. It was deep and had a nice soft bottom. You got to love thru-the-floor pedals so the water comes pouring in around your feet. I will have to take a measurement tomorrow and see exactly how high the water came up. It was an inch below the intake and I didn't even have the rear wheels in yet! Rich has a good pic of it on his post with the bow wake.
Here are some photos from camp and of member's vehicles:
