I plan to purchase and install one of Bank's Ram Air kits on my M1028 Banks Power | 82-93 Chevy/GMC - 6.2L>>Banks Ram-Air® Intake System . The problem is, the extra-large NSN front battery tray will not allow sufficient room to route the 4" hose to the knock-out in the grille (see photo). The only way I can make this work is to exchange the NSN tray with the smaller civi tray. Should I try to find a NOS GM tray or buy one of the cheap Taiwan repops from LCM?

yeah get yourself a civi tray and a new battery. thats what I did when i installed my banks kit. There is no difference in starting these trucks. I replaced both of mine with new Optimas on both trays. The 6tl are a lot of weight for the inner fender
