I'm trying to decyfer whether or not what I saw today was a 1949 CJ3 with a long bed, maybe used as an ambulance? Or a homemade frankenstein? The frame had not been lengthened, but the body has. It has the usual tailgate. The windsheild had some sheet metal around it to keep it from being opened or dropped which may indicate it once had a top on it that would have been useful for an ambulance. I can pick it up for $500, not bad if it was an ambulance. Not as good if it's a homemade frankenstein someone made while they smoked too much crack. It needs alot of tlc. Many modifications obvious so I'm not sure about the ambulance theory. Any suggestions? thanks
