Here is bunch of pics from the 2009 Colorado Springs Veterans Day Parade. Lots more to follow. Huge crowd as always here. For info, Ft Carson, Peterson and Shriver AFB and the Air Force Academy all call Co Springs home. The Colorado groups, Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado (MVCC), WWII Living History Regiment, Society of Military Widows and the Women Accepted for Voluntary Military Service (WAVES) together rolled 25 vehicles. Great line of vehicles and outstanding display of era correct personnel. The MVCC hauled Vets from all past wars. Picked up the WWII Vets from a Vets home and then staged. Pics loading them up are attached. Took awhile for us to clear any particular point on the parade route. Some of us convoyed down from the Denver area. Staging for the convoy south are the first few pics. You will see a snow covered Pikes Peak in the background of some pics. Be patient. Lots of pics to follow.

San Angelo, Texas celebrated her Veterans yesterday (11/7/09) with a parade, too. I'll post up some pics ASAP. There were no privately owned MVs, but Goodfellow AFB and the Texas Army NG Unit contributed several vehicles.....

Did anyone else's communities parade for their Vets:?::?::?:
If so, let's post up some pics:!:
