Coleman's Surplus Snatch Blocks

Just thought I would post to show the variety of surplus blocks that are out there. Over the past 2 years I have received 3 different styles from coleman's.

I got the first two blocks about a year and a half ago. (first & second pic)

The other six arrived yesterday five of a second style (third & fourth pic), one of a third (fifth pic).

I just recently bought two from them and they are like your first two photos. Nice to have extras!

all of the sheaves and hooks are the same size

I just bought one last week, it looks similar to your pic 1&2 block. It is marked S&R8 US, SWL 10 Ton. How much are these things worth? Not that it matters, they are all out cool.

Now thats alot better than whats available from Tractor Supply ot Harbor Freight, and likely to have USA stamped on them.......... Are there many left and are they priced right? In the long run the price is probably justified anyway.

I have both most common styles in the shoe pic...for 35 bucks. they are so close its not really much to worry about, I also have some galvanized ones that were in service , they do have a slightly heavier case wall on the sides, the shiping is 13:95 flat rate box, they fit right in, FYI...
