Here is my version of a console (inside tool box) for my M817.

The passenger seat is changed in the photo and I will be changing the drivers seat when I have the mount worked out, keeping the spring unit. I think these are MRAP passenger seats and that was a military tool box that I cut down, keeping it all military...just newer (and slightly altered).

PC, I'm looking for a small piece of commercial carpet to quiet the cab noise so can put a piece in the bottom. That box was 6" deeper and 5 " wider so I'm just glad to have it modified. Now I need a box for outside drivers side that will serve as a step. Without a jerry can, it's a long way up. The inside box was purchased for the outside but in it's OEM form, the lid would have been partially under the cab and not fully open.

I see you have scrapped out some 105 trailers. Do you use (re-purpose) the beds, frames or axles? The 105 is perfect for a dumping truck bed and the frame can be used for generators or other needs.

That sounds like a good plan. On the 105s we scrapped almost all of them had partially caved in beds, twisted frames and/ or major rust so reusing the beds and frames wouldn't have been practical. I've seen some dumpers made from the beds and they look really good but it just hasn't worked out for us yet.

Wow PC, I'm in Indiana where everything rusts and your in dry California. Most of the 105's here have minor rust. The one I bought has none at all. Did you get a deal on several in poor condition? Seems like Cal should have many that are rust free.

machinist75...I'm kinda partial to A1's. I'd like to have one to bob. My 925 is a basic with 10K and I don't have the heart to do it to such a nice OEM truck.

Here is my 817 and 925.

Nice looking M925! The trailers were a pretty good deal, plus in the GL photos they were so close together you couldn't really see what you were getting. The rusty ones had unit numbers for cavalry divisions based in Europe and they definitely had enough forklift damage to back up the idea of having been shipped back from Europe. The banged up ones were from the 11th ACR in Fort Irwin and had been very roughly used since entering service in the mid sixties.
