I know we used to be able to weld with the Shop set on our 887. Does the PTO driven generator mounted on the 1031 still have a welding capability?

Is there any way to regulate the amperage while welding? If I remember correctly, there was some type of regulating capability on the old system, but I don't see anything like that on the newer panel.
