Does anyone know the break down on how many of each model was built? I have heard 53000 but does that include the M1009's and M1008's?

I can shed some light on the Canadian Forces numbers as follows:
total 491 all models
total Cargo with winch 38 ECC 123525
total Cargo with troop heater 43 M-1008A1 I believe these were also equipped with the radio rack in the cargo bed
total M-1010 65 ECC 123527
total (M-102 ? 17 Fitted with CDN radio pod in place of cargo bed ECC 123528
total Cargo (M-100 310
all vehicles were purchased new from GM, all trucks were disposed of with exception of the M-1010 by 1994-95 much to our disappointment

So these would have been a separate contract im assuming for GM outside of the 53'000 supposedly built for the U.S. Army?

yes all CF trucks were purchased at the end of the US contract and all were 1987 model year,
