Cucv cab wiring harness question

I have a 1986 M1009 and have found a 1985 M1008 cab wiring harness complete. Will it work in my M1009? I don't really need it yet, but as a new owner of this truck I am finding things like my fuse box has been hot at headlight fuse & some terminals are not great at plug points. Any input from the experts would be great.

That should work fine, I installed one from a pickup into a blazer a couple months back.

The price is right I guess for what I am getting even if I do not use it right away. The previous owner has hacked up the wiring all over this truck. Plus I am finding out that these trucks already had plenty of problems to start with. Thanks
