CUCV door size difference between M1008 and M1009

All,

Regarding the door size of my M1008, it is my assumption that the doors, hinges, etc. are no different from my '86 M1008 vs M1009s, similar vintage Kxx, Suburbans (front doors, of course). I did a good bit of internet searching (and this forum, with most search results related to adjusting door strikes, some stuff about leaking seals) and can't seem to find any reason why the front doors are of a different size/shape/hinge type on the M1009, K5 Blazer, etc.. Could anyone correct me on this, though? I'd appreciate any input provided.

Oh, here's a photo for those interested. I did a lot of searching to find who made these, without much luck. It is possible that they're a one-off fab job, as the steel is quite thick and the doors themselves are quite heavy, probably the strongest part of the body when placed on my truck.
If anyone can clue me in to who manufactured these or where they came from, I'd be greatly appreciated.

This sounds more like an "Ad" then a search for help, since you already appear to know the answer to the doors issue. All items to be sold should be in the classified section.

Barrel bolts for closures? Yea I think this will be booted. You must pay a membership here to sell things. You can of course give them away in the classifieds. Have a Super wet day in Pennsylvania.

Sorry, that's not my goal. I was hoping the collective knowledge of the group could confirm that the doors are identical (geometry, hinge size/pattern, etc.) between all Chevys of this vintage. I removed any mention of the sale in the above post (edited the first post), so I hope this clears this up?
For my second post, I'm genuinely interested to know where these came from? Has anyone seen this style of tubular doors, or did a talented fab person make them?

I did read the rules, I didn't provide a link to my sale, I just removed any reference to the sale, and I understand about the membership to sell in classifieds. I hope I've made clear with the above that I'm just seeking information about door size/differences (lack thereof?) I swear I've spent good time searching for this on SteelSoldiers, but nearly all results relate to the door strikes, getting the doors adjusted, etc. Good stuff (my driver's door still doesn't latch well, despite multiple readjustments.) But, it didn't clarify my original question.

Can you clarify about barrel bolts? I agree that the latch mechanism sure seems weak relative to the rest of the doors. I have a closeup, if you'd like to see it.

If you look in the parts TM ( the -34P free to download here on SS ) you will find there is only 1 part number for doors . I was in the middle of taking a screenshot of it when our power flickered from a power pole getting hit down the street . If the thread isn't deleted tonight when I get home I will try again.

Awesome! Hey, no need to get that screen shot, I'll download that TM and dig into it, I didn't realize the parts TM would cover all that, but I honestly never opened the parts one. They're massive, and a bit overwhelming, so I may try to print it off for easier reading.

Here is a closeup of the closure. These aren't what I think of when I think of barrel bolts, but I know my original photo didn't show this closure well. Regardless, has anyone seen this style or know of who made this. I can't seem to find anyone online who makes these now (tons of people making tubular doors for Jeep Wranglers).

They look great. I am sure ORD still makes the tubular doors. I don't like open floor plans anymore on the road or off road. Call me old and fragile. I rode motorcycles all my life. I was on one a few years back going along and someone pulled out in front of me. Not good. Next day at the intersection I was cut off by a driver making a left turn. That was it for the motorcycle. The doors look great but won't pass inspection in our state for over the road. The tube doors I seen had latches similar to the stock doors with an inside handle mid way up. Nice doors for the right guy. Me I like the steel doors protecting me from road rash and mud/water. Good Luck with your sale or trade. The doors on the K5 pick up and Suburban's are the same on the front. 73-81 may differ inside but 81-91 are all the same.

Great! Someone put some serious time in to getting these gathered and indexed like that, that's unbelievably nice. I have some minor issues to tackle with my M1008 and also with a S&S M1078 that we recently acquired at work to use as a tanker/tender/fire engine for wildfire suppression/management. The LMTV sure is fun!
