CUCV OEM Wheel color?

I know this must have been covered here before but I cannot find it. What color were the wheels of 1008's and 1009's when they rolled off the assembly line, 383 Brown or Black? My un-repainted 1009 wheels look brown.

All of the ones I have broken down were black on the inside. The few production line photos I've seen had black wheels as well. You never know what GM puts on the line but I'd say a majority were black.
