CUCV part?

I have been looking in the TMs for this but since I don't know what it is called
I am at a loss.
I changed the overflow tank today and I noticed a small valve and some small tubing
that was held on by the same bolt that secures the top of the resevoir.
I am assuming that it may be some kind of sampling systemj.
Does anyone know what it is and where in the TMs it is discussed?

Oil sampling system, for when the Army was sending oil off to the lab for analysis from every vehicle.

From what I remember oil sampling port,so they check the service life of the oil.
