Drove 20 ft and stalled. It cranked right over again drove 20 ft died again opened the bleeder to purge the air but no air bubbles. Any insight would be appreciated thanks

That would be the norm if you pulled the injection pump. There are diffrent ways to go about purging the fuel system. My favorite is to remove the glow plugs, and crank it over until you see diesel mist from all 8 holes.

Am I missing something here? Why would you remove the injection pump to change the water pump? I am just asking. Maybe I am missing part of this. I never removed the injection pump tro change a water pump on a 6.2. Please share the reason. I am asking to learn something here. Thank you. Good Luck with your project.
