data plate letters

Could someone tell me what size the letters & numbers are supposed to be in the data plate for the weight & dimensions (VIN)?
I think that they are 1/8 or 3/16 but I/m not sure.
I have a new plate coming and I would like to make sure that I have acquired the correct size stamp set to do the job.

Most are 1/8" in height, including the one M35A2 w/W I got already stamped from MVDataplates.
But I also measured a few older M35 gasser plates: somewhere btw. 1/8" and 5/32".
Only one out of 6 has 3/16" letters, so I would say 1/8" is the way to go...
