Ok, OK.... I'm desperate!! I have read tons of glow plug threads, the TM's and the internet. I bought this 1986 CUCV K30 from someone two weeks ago and since then, I have been studying on how to correct its glow plug issues. As of right now, I have a 6ga wire with fusible link leaving the front battery positive terminal going to the 12 volt block (as recommended on a thread regarding resistor bypass) then I have another 6ga wire with fusible link leaving the 12v block going to the top of the NEW S603 glow plug relay. Next I have the bluish/green wire from the harness and the wire for my manual switch on the second to the top relay terminal with the second wire of the manual switch going to ground, next I have the small red wire from the harness on the third terminal down on the relay, and lastly I have the small orange wire and the two large orange glow plug wires on the bottom terminal of the relay. I have a multimeter and get 12.5v at every junction in the circuit all the way to the top of the s603 relay, but nothing after that. I turn key switch and depress my manual glow plug switch and I get no clicking sounds. Aren't I suppose to hear clicking sounds?? Could it be a bad ground? Or maybe I used too small a wires going to the switch? I didn't think the size of the switch wires mattered? Also, I have taken the glow plugs out for inspection and multimeter testing and all but one tests to have less than 1 ohm. Please help!! This is driving me crazy! Below is some pics of the engine. Some of what you see is temporary, I just want to get it to start. As of now, it will crank but not start.
