Couldn't find this issue in the archives. I'm installing a new companion flange and output shaft seals in my transmission. (pic is the old one) The TM calls out for a torque setting of 120-150ft lbs. To get a gap in the castle nut to line up with the cotter key hole in the main shaft, I have to go under 120 to about 110, or over 150 to 170. If I'm at 120 to 150 or in between I can't get the hole to line up. I have a good trans and I didn't want to over or under torque the nut and possibly damage the trans. Didn't have this problem with the old flange...….thanks.
