Deuce HEAT

I hope this isnt a stupid question...

But, do deuces even need heat if its above -10 ?

I COOK ALIVE driving it around with the windows down, vents open and windshields up.

The engine throws so much heat through the firewall, will I ever use my heater?

Try closing the door windows and cabtop window while driving. The air from the windshield windows pushes the heat out of the truck.

You'll need heat, trust me. The heat coming off of the motor and transmission make it tolerable, but a heater is always nice on a cold day. If you don't want your heater, take it off and sell it...there are plenty of our northern neighbors who may want it!

Heater is needed more as a defroster, than to keep you warm.

In VA, though I doubt you need it 'much' at all.

I have had my deuce for 4 years now, and yet to hook up the heat. Very few times were I regretted it.

Close the cowl vents, roll up the windows and open the windshields. He told us that at the GA rally last fall. I didn't know what to think, but I tried it. After an hour at speed the floor was barely warm and I was comfortable.

I used it again when Kwai and I brought a M109 500 miles across West Texas from Las Cruses a month ago to the other side of Sonora. Out side temps were 104+. I was comfortable driving along with the windows up. Maybe a little wet spot on my shirt at the small of my back, but that was it.

Once the sun goes down, it makes it almost cold inside the cab. Then you will want to close the windshield a detent or two. Something that is hard to do while moving. A water bottle laying on the hood is a good soft stop for the windshield when it finally decided to THUMP close. It is also about the right spacing to let you tighten the handles down so the glass will stay right there. Then just pull the bottle back out and you are set.
