Deuce NSN clarification, please!

While looking over the M35A2 auction lots on GL, I noticed a few trucks do not have corresponding NSN numbers, as stated in the lot descriptions.

So I did a quick search on the GL offerings and I have deduced that the drop side trucks all seem to be either NSN 23200 0926 0873 (w/o winch) or 23200 0926 0875 (w/winch).

The std deuce however, seems to be NSN 23200 0077 1617 regardless of if there's a winch mounted or not.

My question is, is my observation accurate or are there other NSN numbers for the Cargo truck M35A2?

Incorrect.
Standard deuce is M35A2 w/o w 2320-00-077-1616
M35A2 w/w is 2320-00-077-1617
M35A2C w/w s 2320-00-926-0875
M35A2C w/o w is 2320-00-926-0873

Quickest way to find these numbers is from the front of the Technical Manual. If you have a complete original, it will provide all of the truck NSN's on the cover.

Also, the NSN is like....morse code. Placing the dash/space in the wrong place immediately alerts folks that know, that you are one that doesn't know.

2320 is the federal stock class. Says it is a wheeled tactical vehicle.
00 (or 01) says it is from US manufacture/procurement
remainder identifies the specific item.

just looking at your #'s carnac, Im curious what 926-0874 is...... might not be a 2320 at all.

The 926-0874 is not a M35A2. Only the 0873 and 0875. That's the dropside last 4's.

I know, based on your above listing of NSN's. I was asking if you knew what 0874 is, perhaps a trailer, apc etc etc

Thanks CARNAC, I haven't trained myself to go to Wikipedia as an information source, but it seems that while many people poke fun at it, there's something to be said about open information systems.

In my newbness, GL doesn't bother to separate the NSN numbers into the accepted format, so I guessed. Wrong.

In case you missed it, thank you for the info you dug up on my 0875. I appreciate your willingness to supply a little info on the history and usage of my ole truck.
