Hi guys , i would like some input on taking bed off my m35 and turning it in to a rollback. i want to be able to haul my 43 gpw to some events, and would like to keep the bed looking as origanal as possible . i was wondering if anyone has tried this ! thanks in advance bob b

I dont know of anyone that has, but I know NK has built a dumper out of a stock M35A2. I would suggest adding some cross bracing to keep rigidity. Or you could buy/build some ramps for the jeep, I know it will fit in the bed.

The hydrolics would be a major PITA......you would prob need an M36 (long wheel based deuce) to make it work.

Most rollbacks start with a much shorter (in height)vehicle to make the approach angle easier to navigate. What if you put on a hooklift or the loading system from a rolloff dumpster truck and put a flat container on the back?

I have given a rollback adaptation alot of thought over a long time.
Not gonna be that hard to do with the existing bed, just not gonna be cheap.
The dumpster roll off type would be cheaper.

Won't have to get the bed nice & low to load a GPW, just have to get the tailgate close to the ground and hook the winch up.

Had you searched, you would have found that the height of the frame wouldn't work with the length of bed you would need to get it to hit the ground. Might work with an M36 but not an M35.
